Librado Garcia came on late in this June 1987 game for the rookie Helena Brewers and he provided the punctuation on the blowout, according to The Helena Independent-Record.
Garcia knocked an eighth-inning triple to knock in the team's 19th run on the night, The Independent-Record wrote.
"They were more relaxed tonight," Garcia's Helena manager Dave Huppert told The Independent-Record of the team.
Garcia hit that triple in his first season as a pro. He went on to see time in four campaigns. He topped out at high-A.
Garcia's career began that year in 1987, signed by the Brewers as a free agent out of his native Dominican Republic.
Garcia joined the Brewers from San Pedro de Marcois, graduating from Liseo Joses Joaquin Perez High School.
Garcia started with the Brewers at rookie Helena. He got into 26 games and hit .247. He hit another triple in a July game and picked up two hits in an August game.
Garcia moved to the rookie Arizona League for 1988. He hit .255 in 51 games. He then played 1989 at single-A Beloit and hit .209 over 92 games.
For 1990, he played 42 games at Beloit, then moved to high-A independent Miami. He hit .156 over 72 total games that year to end his career.
